Welcome to the new McLarney Racing web site, It will be used to
illustrate the McLarney Team and the Daytona Bike and parts to all the bike racers around the globe. With 40 years combined experience in the RC industry, McLarney Racing is a market leader in RC bike's, parts and support . The current team is led by Ian McLarney (Designer) and Derek McLarney (Chief pilot), two factory drivers and a handful of satellite teams. With this setup there is always a McLarney bike in the top 3 in every 1/5th electric class.
The McLarney Daytona Bike and Team started a great many years ago when the Nuova Faor or Thunder Tiger seamed to be the only bike to use.
Derek and Ian championed the Thunder Tiger and eventually replaced many of the parts with their own designs, this let the way for the Type-A Chassis. The Type-A was a conversion kit which had several new parts like the revolutionary CSC carbon chassis rails which ran the length of the bike and the new low-down location for the servo's and motor..... This original kit required a donor bike to complete it, now Ian and the rest of the team are working towards a full (RTR) bike that will be competitive on the track and still easy too learn and adapt the R500 will be released shortly.
