In order to maintain the performance and dynamics of the Daytona bike McLarney Racing developed a new chain and sprocket that would allow for difference gearing ratios and a smaller pitch chain. Both the ratio and the pitch size were researched and developed for use on the Type-C but can be used on other 1/5th scale chassis'.
The fine pitch steel chain flows a much better round the gearbox giving a reduced power drain from the motor as they are smoother and well designed they will last far longer than others.The sprockets used are light, strong and due to the nature of Delrin, self lubricating. This gives a free running wheel with very little power loss which is essential in the Stock and Silvercan classes.
