BRCA National Championships - Round 4 Halifax Track, Yorkshire.

Round 4 is the penultimate round for the 2009 championship, with vital points to collect and places to make up the racing was going to be tight. Team McLarney were there in force with Derek and Ian continuing the development and testing of the eagerly awaited R500 chassis.

Dave Scouse claimed FTQ and then went on to win the stock class with Chris Douglas settling for 2nd place. McLarney bike took the first 4 places at the end of qualifying which proves the tight technical tracks pair well with the Daytona Chassis. This is the first round that a Mclarney Bike has taken the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Stock races, the final place was made up by Roger Hardy who had a storming day putting Dave and Chris under real pressure.

Derek battled Alan Leighton and eventually a bit of race and track experience prevailed for Derek and he took 4th place in the superbikes

BRCA National Championships - Round 2 Cotswold's Model Car Club, Gloucestershire

Round two took place this on the 14th of June at Cotwolds MCC, the tight technical track gave some excellent close racing in all classes. Team McLarney dir well despite a few close calls. Chris Douglas claimed the track lap record of 25.69 seconds while Dave claimed the race record of 16/7m11.92.

BRCA National Championships - Round 1 Brooklands Raceway, Kent
Round 1 kicked of this weekend at the sprawling high speed track at Brooklands in Kent. Saturday practice saw very promising results from everyone, Dave Souse was well on the way to pole position with chris Douglas following tightly behind in the Stock class, Derek was running the new R500 prototype in the Superbike class. After some very close racing Dave Scouse won claiming full points, while Chris had severe technical problems and finally finished in 8th. Skipton Sport Lap and Race record smashed... Again!
Well it didn't stand for long, Dave Scouse got into the 24 lap bracket with a blinding race.


Skipton NRMC Stock Lap and Race record smashed!
The SuperSport race and lap record have again been demolished by a McLarney bike and rider. As of 15th March 2009 the new lap record of 17.34s and race record of 23/7m 1.38 have been set by Chris Douglas. this is only a few seconds behind the Superbike records which proves the McLarney formula is a top contender.


World Championships 2009
Dates have now been confirmed by the German team for the Worlds later this year. The dates you will need are 31.07.09 till sunday 02.08.09. An official web site has been launched for the event, for more details on all aspects of the competition visit it Here.


AutoSports Show 2009
Team McLarney made the trip to the 2009 Autosports Show at the NEC to help the BRCA "demo team". Their mission was to make the new 1/8th scale Venom bikes look as good as possible, and it didn't take much. Everyone had a great weekend, and is looking forward to the new season with the 1/8th scale bikes


Winter Testing 2008/2009
The Winter season has started at Skipton (NRMC) and team McLarney are starting the track testing phase for the new parts they have developed. Initial indications have shown that the new chassis and forks in the snow are within 0.1sec per lap of last years record.


BRCA National Series 2008

Finally the end of the season, what a season is has been. Right throughout the year the McLarney bike and pilots have been in the top runners and that's the way it finished.

Superbike - Derek McLarney 2nd place.
Superbike - Ian McLarney 7th place.
Supersport - Dave Scouse 3rd place.
Supersport - Chris Douglas 4th place.


Congratulations to all the team drivers and the satellite drivers, everyone has done exceptionally well this season, may the great results continue.
